A Solar Flare

A solar flare is a burst of heat that comes out of the sun. This happens when to much heat builds up in the sun and shoots off a flare in the sun. It is a very cool and interesting thing to see and I wish I could see one.

Jupiter A Mystery To Us All

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun. It is the largest planet in our solar system. It is one of the gas giants.   Jupiter is also known for the red spot, the red spot is the perfect storm. The storm contains 300 mph winds lightning storms heavy rain and snow. This planet has over 64 moons, all circling Jupiters atomesphere.

ScienceCasts: The Super Moon of May 2012

Last night was a great moment in astronomy with another spectacular super moon. Even though I did not see it when it was on the horizon with my telescope it was spectacular. It was a great moment. The moon becomes 10 times closer and 11 times bigger. This happens because the circulation of the moon around the earth is not 360 degrees. So at the small point it comes close to earth.
